1. Introduction and Definitions

These Terms and Conditions govern your participation in the Snow Global Selfie experience operated by Outernet London Limited ("we," "our," or "us"). By using our service, you agree to these terms in full.

Definitions:

• AI-generated images: Images created using artificial intelligence algorithms to modify original photographs
• Participants: Individuals who submit images for AI modification and display
• Minors: Individuals under the age of 18
• Explicit permission: Consent provided verbally or in writing by a parent or legal guardian who has reviewed and agreed to these Terms and Conditions
• Appropriate content: Images that comply with legal, ethical, and event-specific standards for public display

2. Image Rights and Usage

By participating in this experience, you grant Outernet London Limited:

• Permission to capture your photograph and generate AI-modified versions
• The right to display both original and AI-generated images on event screens during Snow Global Selfie
• Permission to use the images in promotional materials related to Snow Global Selfie including filming of the event for marketing and promotional material.
• The right to store and process your images for the purpose of AI generation and display

3. Data Retention and Privacy

We commit to:

• Storing your original and AI-generated images securely
• Deleting all images within 30 days of capture, except those used in promotional materials
• Protecting your personal information in accordance with UK GDPR requirements
• We will not share your personal data, email, or submitted photos, with third parties except as necessary for the purposes of this experience or as required by law. Access to this data is limited to authorized personnel.

4. Minor Participation

By participating in this experience, you agree:

• If submitting images of individuals under the age of 18, you confirm that approval has been obtained from their parent or legal guardian for participation in the AI photo experience. Outernet London Limited assumes that such approval has been secured as part of your agreement to these Terms and Conditions.
• Participants under the age of 18 may only submit images or participate in this experience if they have obtained explicit permission from their parent or legal guardian. By submitting your image, you affirm that you have this permission.
• Images of minors submitted without appropriate parental or guardian consent will not be used for promotional purposes, even if approved for other parts of the experience.
• We are committed to complying with applicable laws and guidelines, including the UK GDPR and the Children's Code, in our handling of images and data of minors.
• We rely on participants to ensure that minors' participation is authorized by a parent or legal guardian. Outernet London Limited is not liable for any claims arising from failure to secure such consent.

5. Limitations and Restrictions

You agree:

• To only submit appropriate content suitable for public display
• Not to submit images of minors without proper parental consent
• That we may refuse to process or display any content at our discretion
• That we are not obligated to maintain copies of your images beyond the stated retention period

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to review and reject any submitted images for any reason, including but not limited to concerns that the images may have been captured or submitted without appropriate parental or guardian consent, or if the content is deemed inappropriate or unsuitable for public display. On-site curators are empowered to make these determinations, and their decisions are final and binding.

6. Intellectual Property

While you retain rights to your original image, you acknowledge that:

• AI-generated derivatives are co-owned by Outernet London Limited
• We may use these derivatives for promotional purposes related to the event
• You may not claim exclusive rights to the AI-generated images

7. Liability

We provide this service "as is" and make no warranties about the AI-generated images. We are not liable for:

• Technical issues that may affect image generation or display
• Any dissatisfaction with the AI-generated results
• Any consequential losses arising from use of the service
• Participation in the Global Selfie experience is entirely at your own risk.  Under no circumstances shall we be liable to you for any costs, damages, claims, actual or alleged indirect loss or consequential loss howsoever arising suffered by you as a result of your participation in the Snow Globe Selfie experience.
